Principles and concepts of process and resource management, especially as seen in operating systems. Processes, memory management, protection, scheduling, file systems, and I/O systems are covered. Concepts illustrated in the context of several wellknown systems. Prerequisites: CSE23/ICS 23, and ICS 51 or CSE31/EECS31 with grades of C or better. Same as Computer Science 143A. Only one course from CSE104/Computer Science 143A and EECS111 may be taken for credit.
