After briefly considering the invention of astronomy in antiquity and the Copernican revolution, examines the development of solar science; the triumph of the view of the expanding universe; and a medley of themes in post-1945 astrophysics and cosmology. 135D History of Cartography (4). Examines how technology has assisted in creating visual representations of place, space, and time beginning in ancient Babylonia to the present day. 135E Topics in the History of Science and Technology (4). May be repeated for credit as topics vary. 135F History of Technology (4). Explores the historical and contemporary products and processes that have improved and abused the forces of nature.
