Starts with prehistory in 42A (fall quarter) and concludes with modern art in the twentieth century in 42C (spring quarter). Topics include neolithic excavations, pan-Asiatic transmissions of art, developments of art in China and Japan. Each course may be taken separately, or as part of the series. ( IV, VIII)
