Introduction to experimental techniques to characterize mechanical properties of materials. Emphasis on the correlations between property and microstructure. Experiments include: plastic stability in tension, effect of grain size and flow stress at low and high temperatures, strain rate effects, impact test, superplasticity, creep of materials. Corequisite: CBEMS155. Prerequisite: ENGR54.
