3 credits (1+4) Introduces a theoretical and practical foundation for developing a personal and professional leadership style. Students will be exposed to diverse topics within the outdoor industry such as outdoor leadership, group dynamics and decision making, risk management, environmental ethics, and experiential education. Readings and active participation in discussions, activities and assignments are required. Field outings are also a required component of this course. Prerequisite: Admission to any ODS program or instructor permission.
