4 credits (4+0) GER. The Haida language, Xaat Kil, is the traditional language of the Haida people of Haida Gwaii and Southeast Alaska. Students will learn to speak and understand basic Haida and focus on four basic language skills: speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing. Emphasis will be on mastery of everyday vocabulary, and basic grammatical patterns.
