This course introduces the student to the safe use of clinical aromatherapy within the scope of nursing practice. Emphasis on the nursing process, critical thinking, and therapeutic communications included as part of the overall approach to safe and effective clinical use of essential oils. A project evaluating the effectiveness of aromatherapy for clinical uses will cap the course. (prereq: NU-2010, consent of instructor)
