This course is intended to provide the student with an overview of themechanical engineering profession, the process ofmechanical engineering design, and the tools associated with the mechanical design process. Lecture topics will include an overview of the engineering profession, career paths withinmechanical engineering, and the relationship of the educational curriculumto the personal and professional growth of the student. Laboratory exercises will focus on themechanical engineering design process, and the application of solidmodeling tools and techniques inmechanical design.
