This is a survey course on themanagement processes of planning, organizing, leading and controlling. The course begins with a comparison of the current spectrumofmanagement philosophies. Social responsibility and ethical decision-making are normally covered through case studies, while the emerging interest in international and cross-culturalmanaging is interwoven throughout the course. Traditional functions ofmanagement such as strategic planning and organizational design are given special emphasis to stimulate discussion on how organizations adapt to global conditions.
