This course aims to help the student better appreciate the classical heritage of the English language. It is a comprehensive study of the basic Greek and Latin word elements - roots, prefixes, and suffixes - that underliemodern English usage. The purpose of the course is to provide the student with a systematicmethod for increasing his/her vocabulary. Exercises will illustrate practical application.
