Institution:
Milwaukee School of Engineering
Subject:
Description:
The purpose of this course is to introduce engineering students with little previous chemistry background to chemical principles used in the study of environmental chemistry. One theme of this course is the importance of understanding how natural biogeochemical processes operate and have operated over a variety of timescales. Such an understanding provides baseline information against which the effects of human perturbations of chemical processes can be quantified.
