This course provides an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of ethical and professional issues encountered by engineers in computing-related disciplines. Typical course topics include privacy and security, safety and risk, conflict of interest, environmental concerns, professional codes of ethics, whistle-blowing, liability, intellectual property, registration and certification, and the impact of computing on society.
