This course is designed to provide a broad understanding of the emerging field of biotechnology. It provides a unique opportunity for students to gain knowledge of essential concepts and hands-on experience with gene and proteinmanipulations. Students are also expected to gain an understanding of the commercial uses of genetic engineering and cloning technologies. This will open new doors for future engineers and business leaders, and is also essential for a well informed citizen.
