This course introduces the student to the basics of building heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design. Emphasis is on introducing the topics within the context of the basic fundamentals of thermodynamics, fluidmechanics and heat transfer. Topics include introduction to comfort parameters,moist air properties, building heat loss calculation methods, building heat gain calculationmethods, basic heating and cooling processes, and heating and cooling equipment.
