Examines the role of nutrition in maintaining health through the life span. Includes information on macro- and micronutrients, weight management, sports nutrition, and disease prevention. (Nursing students should take HPR 345.) This course fulfills the Liberal Arts Core requirement for a Health and Wellness course for transfer students entering 2009-10 or earlier and those who entered the University in 2008-09 or earlier.
