A holistic approach to understanding stress. Analysis of causative psychosocial stressors and intervening physiological mechanisms. Emphasis on prevention and control of stress through such techniques as meditation, exercise, biofeedback, nutrition, and neuromuscular relaxation. This course fulfills the Liberal Arts Core requirement for a Health and Wellness course for transfer students entering 2009-10 or earlier and those who entered the University in 2008-09 or earlier.
