Three Credits LA This course explores the rise of the Asia-Pacific, a region that includes Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. It uses a critically acclaimed video series, among other sources, to examine the history and politics behind the growth of the world's most dynamic economies, and the political, social, and environmental consequences of that growth. The course is interdisciplinary and is intended for political science, environmental science, history, economics, and business majors who are interested in Asia.
