One Credit LA Provides students with an understanding of the instrument used in carrying out survey research. The course focuses on the design of questionnaires and the theoretical and practical issues involved in their development, implementation, and interpretation. Students learn about various measurement techniques involved in studying attitudes and the concerns associated with collecting accurate information. In addition, students participate in a survey conducted by the Marist Institute for Public Opinion and analyze the particular survey instrument being used.
