Three Credits LA This course introduces the primary methods and problems of historical research and writing. Students will explore the complicated process of creating historical interpretation, the sub-disciplines within history, and how historians engage one another. Emphasis will be placed on practical experience with analyzing historical works, writing coherent critiques and persuasive essays, evaluating documentary sources, and conducting searches for source material. Prerequisite: Six credits in history
