Three Credits This course is an in-depth seminar-style course devoted to studying fashion and clothing styles as they relate to world events that occurred during the 20th century. Using these political, social, economic, technological, and aesthetic events as a backdrop for understanding the temporal and synthetic art of costume, the student will gain knowledge of the mechanics and dynamics of cycles, trends, and fads that constantly initiate change in fashion.
