Three Credits LA Reading and discussion of Irish literature written in the English language from the beginning of the Irish Literary Revival (late 19th century) to the present: Yeats to Seamus Heaney, Joyce to John McGahern. Readings include drama, the novel and short story, poetry, and nonfiction. Historical developments and cultural background, as these influenced the work and are reflected in it, will also be considered. Offered in alternate years.
