Three Credits LA Reading and discussion of major English-language poets from the beginning of the 20th century to the Second World War, with emphasis on Yeats, Auden, Pound, Eliot, Frost, Stevens, and Williams. In addition to the work of individual poets, attention will be given to the nature of poetry, how form and meaning are integrated. Offered in alternate years. (Fulfills the Genre requirement for English Literature majors.)
