Three Credits LA This course will address the learning processes and strategies needed to support the literacy development of adolescents. Students will explore the theories of reading and writing, instructional materials, planning techniques, remedial strategies, and support practices for the general and special-needs populations. Special emphasis will be placed on the principles of sound teaching for all learners, including English language learners, in an integrated, literature-based classroom. Fieldwork required. Prerequisite: PSYC 207L
