Three Credits The course focuses on current trends in mathematics education, including studies of analytical reasoning and problem-solving strategies, real-world applications of mathematics, and interdisciplinary approaches to teaching mathematics. A study of secondary-level mathematics syllabi will also include ways of restructuring instruction and evaluation in light of the curriculum and evaluation standards of the National Council of Mathematics Teachers (NCMT). Students will design demonstration lessons and tests on specific topics. Offered every spring. Pre- or Corequisite: PSYC 208 Corequisite: EDUC 410
