Three Credits LA A study of television from theoretical and critical perspectives. This course will provide the student with the tools to critically study television both as an art and as a cultural barometer. The student will learn various critical methodologies drawn from other arts-film, literature, drama, and other performing arts. The methodologies will include criticism from socioeconomic, historical, mythological, psychological, semiotic, quantitative, and sociological perspectives. Offered in fall and as necessary.
