Three Credits each LA The structure and reactions of organic compounds with emphasis on the mechanisms by which these reactions take place. Physical properties, stereochemistry, and the effect of structure on reactivity are also discussed. The use of the rate equation is emphasized in understanding the orientation and reactivity of reactors. Two lectures plus one recitation per week. Prerequisites: CHEM 131-132; successful completion of CHEM 211 is a prerequisite for CHEM 212
