Three Credits LA This course is an historical survey of the painting, sculpture, and architecture of China from the Neolithic period to the 20th century. The art of China will be viewed in its cultural context with emphasis on its purpose and meaning in light of the philosophies and religions of the Far East. The course includes an in-depth study of the aesthetics, materials, and techniques of painting and calligraphy. (Fulfills the Core/LS requirement for Fine Arts.)
