Three Credits This course provides an overview of the Graphic Design field, emphasizing basic lettering and typography, production, and design skills. Assigned projects furnish an understanding of the designer's creative process-the progressive steps from research, thumbnails, and roughs through the finished mechanicals. A strong digital component builds a relationship between analog and computer-related skills. Students are encouraged to approach problem solving in an imaginative yet professional manner. Offered every semester. Prerequisites: ART 101, ART 231
