Three Credits LA Topics include the history of evolutionary thought, the origin of life, microevolution, macroevolution, population genetics, speciation, coevolution, and critical periods in the evolution of life. In addition, an examination of social Darwinism, scientific creationism, and review of the race concept will illustrate how one's culture and values influence scientific investigations. Three-hour lecture per week. Prerequisites: BIOL 130-131 and CHEM 131-132 or equivalent
