Three Credits This course will focus on communication design problems, with a special emphasis on advertising and publication design. Concept development will be stressed as students explore fundamental perceptual, symbolic, and expressive approaches to design. Students will further develop their digital skills as they learn today's computer-based equivalents to traditional analog skills. Production skills will be refined, along with a closer examination of the expressive nature of typography. Offered every spring. Prerequisite: ART 215
