Though perspectives and specific problems may vary, this course will examine such problems as drug abuse, domestic violence, environmental degrada-tion, war, population problems, mental illness, suicide, health care, crime, and delinquency, as well as the causes of social problems and the ways in which the U.S. and other societies have responded to them.
