Description:
The theory and practice of quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis using instrumental techniques. Topics include the theory of operation, data interpretation, and practical applications of several methods of chemical analysis including spectrophotometry, atomic spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and chro-matography . Students who withdraw from CHEM 244 will automatically be removed from CHEM 244L unless permission to remain in the lab is granted by the Department Chairperson. Prerequisites: CHEM 241. 3 lecture and 4 laboratory hours.
