5 cr. 9 hr. This course provides the theoretical base and clinical experience in caring for infants, children and adolescents. The focus is the major and most common disorders of infants, children and adolescents. The nursing process is the basis for providing care in a variety of settings. Health promotion aspects of preventing or alleviating health problems are addressed Clinical experience occurs in acute care agencies. Prerequisites: NURS 2300, 2500, 2600, and 2900, BIOI 1650 and 2700.
