3 cr. 3 hr. This course provides the student with an introduction to military law and military professional ethics. The role of the junior officer with regard to military law in the practical setting of their initial assignment in an Army unit is examined. This course provides the advanced course cadet with a basic knowledge of the Army's organizational practices and philosophy. The role of the noncommissioned officer is reviewed along with the basics of line and staff functions. An overview of the Army's personnel management, training and logistics systems, along with post and installation support organization and functions are presented as a basic course. Prerequisite: completion of basic course or advanced placement credit granted by the professor of Military Science.
