5 cr. 9 hr. Medical-Surgical Nursing I This course teaches core concepts in the nursing care of adults with common health alterations. The development of critical thinking skills is emphasized. Nursing care is presented using a nursing process framework. Clinical experience occurs in sub-acute care agencies. Prerequisites: NURS 2300, NURS 2500 NURS 2700 and PSY 2200. Pre or corerequisites: NURS 2600 or BIOL 1650, BIOL 2700.
