ITEC 2500 - Offset Lithography

3 cr. 4 hr. The students study the lithographic form of printing as it is used in modern industry. Computer graphics workstations will be used to produce electronically designed artwork. Laser printers and imagesetters will be used to output the offset film and negatives. The majority of the course is spent setting up and running offset presses. Concepts covered include printing line copy, halftones and controlling ink density. Prerequisite: ITEC 1500.
