3 cr. 4 hr. Using a series of open-ended projects, this course prepares the student to work independently in a variety of technical areas. Topics covered include: the creative process, research using technical literature, error analysis for single-sample and multi-sample experiments, types of instrumentation, and technical report writing. This course satisfies the junior-level writing requirement for industrial technology students. Prerequisite: junior status.
