3 cr. 4 hr. This laboratory course offers in-depth knowledge of energy efficiency, conservation retrofits and choosing appropriate strategies. Cases are discussed regarding the reduction of energy losses and the application of energy conservation techniques for building control systems. Students develop and present plans for specific energy conservation projects that include field trips to sites and research facilities. Prerequisites: ITEC 1710, MATH 1300 or permission.
