This course acquaints students with the services of a variety of public (federal, state and local) and private voluntary non-profit agencies which provide services for various populations. Students learn the range of services provided, how to make referrals to and obtain services from agencies, and how the agencies are operated (including staffing, funding, and administration). This course may emphasize special types of agencies/populations in different semesters. Prerequisite: HMSV 1100 168 College Catalog
