3 cr. 3 hr. This course is designed to examine the integrative relationships inherent in the study of exercise, nutrition, and heart disease. Body build and body composition assessments are made, exercise prescriptions and programs are developed, and prevalent controversies in the areas of obesity, dietary goals, guidelines and plans, atherosclerosis, and heart disease are discussed.
