3 cr. 3 hr. Conservation Biology studies biological diversity and strategies to protect it. Major themes include 1) the patterns, ecology and evolution of biodiversity; 2) contemporary threats to diversity; 3) approaches to preserve diversity. Within those themes we explore case studies and assess conservation strategies. Prerequisite: BIO 2300 or permission of instructor.
