3 cr. 3 hr. The course provides an introduction to the history, theory and practice of designing communications for interactive/multimedia environments. Special attention is paid to flowcharting, branching, hierarchy structures, screen design, storyboards, scripting and all aspects of user interface design. Students also consider the roles of learning theory and instructional design as they create design documents for course projects.
