3 Credits This is an introductory course to the scientific, analytic approach to building knowledge for practice. In this course students learn to develop and use empirically based knowledge, including both qualitative and quantitative methods. Students will also become informed consumers of research reports for the purpose of informing social work policy and practice. Prerequisite: SCW 251.
