2 Credits This course will give the students the necessary knowledge to provide K-8th grade instruction that: 1) Promotes the development of a responsible and well-informed citizen, 2) Provides learning experiences that facilitate an ability to be a selfdirected and knowledgeable participant in the affairs of everyday life, 3) Imparts to each student an appreciation of the history, arts and culture of the world around him/her...past, present and future. The students will learn the required components for work samples and will create one base on a social studies topic. and 4) Promotes an awareness of life and career opportunities.
