3 Credits This course introduces new career and technical teachers to the essential skills and competencies necessary to create student-centered learning environments. Candidates will review the current and historical perspectives of career and technical education (CTE), be assigned a mentor, and will learn to design and deliver effective CTE lessons and courses. This class is part of a preparation program that meets Oregon Teachers Standards and Practices requirements for a three year Professional Technical License outlined in OAR 584-042-0006.
