George P. Heyman Coined by the fifth century Christian scholar St. Jerome, apocrypha refers to those books included in the Greek Septuagint but not in the Hebrew Bible. This course surveys these "hidden" books of theintertestamental period as well as Jewish and early Christian apocalyptic literature from 300 BCE-300 CE.
