This performance-based course is for students seeking dual endorsement in elementary and special education. Students apply their learning from EDE/SPED 401A to the identification and service to students with exceptionalities. WAC components to be covered in this course include: exceptionality, alternative delivery systems, strategies for Special Education, student assessment and evaluation, instructional methods in Special Education, and procedural and substantive legal issues in Special Education as they relate to the philosophical premise for Special Education services [WAC 180-82-360].
