This course is for students seeking dual endorsement in elementary and special education and examines law in the context of the American public school. Emphasis is on the rights and obligations of students, teachers, and administrators. Participants examine critical situations and issues in an inquiry, researchbased format. The course provides participants information on the legal aspects of the school environment including how state and federal laws direct and affect them as teachers. This performance-based course is for students seeking dual endorsement in elementary and special education. Students apply their learning from EDESPED 412A to the classroom setting.
