This course, the first of two courses examining teaming and collaboration examines methods candidates use in creating collaborative relationships with other educators in the public school setting, developing family members as part of the team, and working with schools/agencies for successful transitions. Candidates examine techniques for supervising para-professionals to create positive team relationships. The course examines strategies for successful transitions between school settings, skills for secondary students including schoolto- work, transition planning, and meeting the diverse needs of all students.
