This course will investigate how economic principles apply to the industries of professional, collegiate and amateur sports. The topics include: league structure, team decision making, labor relations, incentive structures and stadium financing. The course is designed to illustrate how economic principles apply to sport and identify the unique issues to this field. Prerequisite: PED 1350, ECO 2050, or by permission of instructor, Fall semester.
